Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need a Boat License?
A. Nope! You are not required to have a boating license as long as you stay within sight of our tour guide. All drivers must be 18+ and all passengers must be 13+.
Q. Where can I read the terms and conditions?
A. Bottom of our page! Here is the link as well
Q. What’s included in the $300 tour?
A. Unlike other jet-ski rentals, our tours create a more immersive experience than just riding around. Our 3-hour tours include usage of the jet ski, gas, a life jacket, free pictures, a guide available at all times, and instructions on how to operate each ski. Please note that gratuity is always appreciated! :)
Q. What is the breakdown of each tour?
A. Each tour begins at the docks at Captree State Park, where we get you set up on your ski. After everyone is boarded, follow our guide through the Great South Bay! With plenty of speed-time and relaxation, our tours are usually a 2:1 split between excursions on the water and touring the wonders of the island. After beaching up on your booked location (Sunken Forest or Lighthouse), you will join our walk for an immersive tour of the area. Afterwards, we head back to Captree.
Q. Do we have to follow the guide?
A. Yes, we go out with you! You will have plenty of time and space to wander on your skis in a designated area.
Q. Is there a weight limit?
A. Yes, all riders must be less than 300 pounds to ride safely.
Q. …How fast and how far can I go?
A. Outside of the no-wake zone, as fast as you want! As long as you are in sight of your guide, have at it. ;)
Q. What should I bring? What should I wear?
A. Government-Issued ID, sunscreen, a towel, and a change of clothes! You will get wet. Shorts while riding are highly recommended. Bikinis are not recommended.
Q. Can I take pictures?
A. Similar to driving a car, it is not advised to take photos while operating the jet ski. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items on our tours. If you do want to take pictures, it is recommended that you place your ski on neutral prior. You can take as many pictures as you want once we arrive to our destination. TLDR: Do it at your own risk. Do not whip out phone while driving!
